Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy lifting.
- 2In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and glossy.
- 3Whisk in the egg, cooled chai tea, and vanilla until fully combined.
- 4In a second bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, and chai spice blend.
- 5Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and stir just until no dry streaks remain. Fold in 1/2 cup of the white chocolate chips.
- 6Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan. Bake 22 to 26 minutes, until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7Cool the bars completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- 8Whisk the powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon half-and-half (add more as needed) until thick but pourable. Drizzle over the cooled bars and scatter the remaining white chocolate chips on top.
- 9Lift the slab out with the parchment, cut into 16 squares, and serve.
